One-of-a-Kind Ranch!
4 Bedrooms / 2.5 Baths

This immaculate California contemporary ranch has been meticulously renovated over the years by the current owners. The light-and-bright open floor plan is complete with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, skylights and large rooms throughout. A brand-new kitchen; new plush carpeting and pad, new ceramic-tiled floors, renovated bathrooms; fresh paint, and sleek lighting and window treatments make this a gem of a home!

This contemporary ranch offers a unique mid-century facade and interior floorplan not found elsewhere in Northcrest. The home has been immaculately cared for by the current homeowner of 27 years. With low-maintenance exterior cedar siding; professionally landscaped front, back, and side yards; a recently paved driveway and front walk; plus new carpet and interior paint… this home has extra appeal.

This home gets good light throughout the day. Enter through the original double front doors to a tiled foyer and open plan. Step down to the formal living room with built-in bookcases, plantation shutters, and a free-standing wall that separates the living room from the formal dining room. The eat-in kitchen features white cabinetry and appliances, a built-in pantry, a washer/dryer area tucked behind louvered doors, and a Peachtree swing door that leads out to the screened-in porch. Both the garage and the fourth bedroom with half bath are adjacent to the kitchen. A wet bar is tucked in between the kitchen and family room.

The family room has a wood-burning fireplace faced with flagstone and glassdoors. There is a built-in bookcase to the left of the fireplace; to the right is a Peachtree swing door that gains access to the rear deck and backyard. Windows are also complete with plantation shutters. Through the master bedroom is the master bath with a new white vanity and a shower with glass doors and a neutral white tile surround. Both second and third bedrooms share the hall bath, also with a new white vanity and a tub/shower combo with a white tile surround.

There is a two-car garage with an automatic garage door. The verdant grounds are meticulously landscaped with mature specimen perennials with something always in bloom. Sit for a spell on the huge screened-in porch and observe the wonderful flora and fauna in the park-like fenced-in backyard! The roof is three years young. Take advantage of low unincorporated DeKalb taxes. Northcrest offers optional membership to the Swim/Tennis club. For more images, visit: www.AtlantaIntownRealEstate.com

John's Notes:
This home on Regalwoods is another unusual design and one of the few houses that feature a mansard roof in Northcrest. In fact the mansard roof becomes the dominating feature - I tend to call this home the "roof house" due to the uniqueness of the construction - the roof extends to within a foot of the ground creating angled walls in the front and back. The actual roofing material is not extended, however the look of the roof (color and texture) is emulated in the horizontal siding, with reverse dormer cut-outs (they set inward rather than outward) to frame the windows and doors. A nice MCM door and sphere light complete the picture - this is truly one of the most unique homes in the neighborhood.
